State Dept OKs Potential $250M USAF-Boeing Aircraft Sustainment Deal for UK


ContractBoeing (NYSE: BA) is set to provide equipment and parts, training, technical and logistics support for the U.K.’s C-17A Globemaster III fleet after the State Department approved a potential $250 million foreign military sales agreement.

According to a Defense Security Cooperation Agency news release posted Thursday, the U.K. government seeks to acquire continued involvement in Boeing’s Globemaster III Sustainment Partnership program for the U.S. Air Force.

DSCA wants the contract to bolster the U.K. military’s deployment and power projection capabilities as well as interoperability with U.S. and NATO missions.

The U.K. currently has eight Globemaster III cargo aircraft in its fleet.
