Cubic Pre-Deployment Soldier Training Contract Ceiling Increases to $896M

CubicLogoA Cubic (NASDAQ: CUB) subsidiary has been awarded a $60 million contract modification to continue helping the U.S. Army train soldiers before their deployment for combat operations.

This award increases the value of a potential 10-year mission support services contract Cubic Applications won in July 2007 to $896 million, Cubic said Thursday.

Cubic Applications has been supporting rotational pre-deployment exercises at the branch’s Joint Readiness Training Center at Fort Polk, Louisiana through the agreement.

The business helps prepare soldiers through role-playing combat scenarios in a multinational environment that involves live fire, force-on-force, situational and live-virtual-constructive training.

Approximately 1, 500 Cubic Applications employees provide support work at JRTC.
