ATK Receives $220M in Cannon System Orders From U.S. Allies; Mike Kahn Comments


Kahn_Mike_smallATK (NYSE: ATK) has secured contracts worth $220 million combined to deliver medium-caliber cannons and product lifecycle services to defense customers in U.S. partner nations.

The company’s Automatic Cannons are designed to operate with ground, maritime and aerial weapon platforms, ATK said Monday.

“Providing defensive weapons systems and support services to our country’s allies is at the core of our international business and represents important growth across many of our key products, ” said Mike Kahn, senior vice president and president of ATK’s defense group.

Dan Olson, vice president and general manager of ATK’s armament systems division, said that more than 16, 000 company-built cannons are used by U.S. allies worldwide.

ATK also offers logistics, repair, training, remanufacturing and field services for Automatic Cannon users.
