Yancey Spruill to Leave DigitalGlobe as CFO; Jeffrey Tarr Comments


DigitalGlobeYancey Spruill, chief financial officer at DigitalGlobe (NYSE: DGI), is set to depart his role on Oct. 1 after a 10-year career at the company.

The geospatial imagery provider will work with Heidrick & Struggles to scout for Spruill’s successor, DigitalGlobe said Thursday.

“Yancey’s contributions to DigitalGlobe over the last decade have been instrumental to our success, ” said Jeffrey Tarr, DigitalGlobe CEO.

Tarr added that Spruill has worked to establish the company’s finance organization, lead DigitalGlobe through its initial public offering in 2009 and helped carry out its merger with GeoEye in 2013.

He worked as an investment banker and manufacturing engineer before joining DigitalGlobe in 2004 as CFO.
