General Dynamics Unit to Upgrade USMC Light Armored Vehicles for $52M


general dynamics logoGeneral Dynamics Land Systems–Canada has received a $52.3 million contract modification from the U.S. Army TACOM Life Cycle Management Command to provide power pack, suspension, driveline, steering system and electrical components for light armored vehicles.

The General Dynamics business unit said Monday that it was awarded the modification through the crown agency Canadian Commercial Corporation under the U.S. Marine Corps‘ LAV Mobility and Obsolescence Upgrade and Integration Program.

Theunit will also deliver prototypes, test support and engineering and logistics data to the Marine Corps through to May 2017.
