Sohaib Abbasi: Informatica Saw Subscription Revenue, Sales Growth in Q1


ContractInformatica Corp. (NASDAQ: INFA) saw its revenue grow to $243.1 million for the first quarter of its 2014 fiscal year, ended March 31.

The jump represents an increase of 13 percent year-over-year and includes $103.0 million in software revenues, Informatica said Thursday.

“The first quarter highlights included strong subscription revenue growth and improved sales operational discipline in Europe, ” said Sohaib Abbasi, chairman and CEO of Informatica.

Informatica also gained $88.5 million from license fees and $14.5 million from subscription revenue during the quarter.

Operational income for the first quarter increased 49 percent year-over-year and net income based on generally accepted accounting principles was up 39 percent, the company said.
