Peyton “Sandy” Baker has been appointed president and chief operating officer at Babcock & Wilcox Co. (NYSE: BWC) as the company has realigned its government market operations.
Baker will lead the Charlotte, N.C.-based company’s nuclear operations and technical services groups, as well as its nuclear fuel services subsidiary, Babcock & Wilcox said Friday.
“Consolidating these operations under a single leader helps us to better leverage the synergies that exist between our government nuclear business and our management and operations initiatives, †said E. James Ferland, CEO of Babcock & Wilcox.
Babcock & Wilcox has also appointed Kenneth Camplin vice president and chief business development officer for government operations and Charles Spencer as COO of TSG operations, both reporting directly to Baker.
