Northrop Wins $100M to Help Maintain Air Force Info Environment


northrop Grumman_BLUENorthrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC) has won a potential five-year, $98 million contract to help operate and maintain a software system the U.S. Air Force uses to collaborate and share information.

The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center at Offutt Air Force Base, Neb. received four offers for the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity, cost-plus-incentive-fee contract, the Defense Department said Wednesday.

According to a presolicitation notice, the web-based Global Adaptive Planning Collaborative Information Environment works to help users view a battlespace and visualize data for planning and decision support.

Northrop will deliver software to the Air Force for production of campaign plans and orders, command plan tasks and guidance for employment of force-assigned tasks under the contract.
