Harris Corp. to Supply Int’l Customer With $82M Radio Comm Systems; Brendan O’Connell Comments


Harris w-BorderHarris Corp. (NYSE:HRS) will deliver wideband high-frequency and very-high-frequency radio communication systems worth $82 million for armed forces’ command-and-control capabilities on the battlefield.

The international customer ordered handheld, man-portable, vehicular and base station Falcon III RF-7800H and RF-7800V radios for voice and data connectivity,  Harris said Tuesday.

“The Harris solution allows headquarters staff to monitor and coordinate forward operating units, dismounted troops, vehicles and airborne assets, ” said Brendan O’Connell, president for international business, Harris RF Communications.

The RF-7800H and RF-7800V tactical radios operate in line-of-sight and beyond-line-of-sight environments to send battle management data, Harris said.
