CA technologiesEmbarcadero Technologies intends to acquire the data modeling business of CA Technologies for an undisclosed amount in a move aimed at adding new channel partners and accessing broader markets.

“Data architecture is now the biggest part of Embarcadero’s business and represents our significant commitment to the category,” Wayne Williams, Embarcadero Technologies CEO, said Thursday.

As part of the agreement, Embarcadero will have full access and ownership of the CA ERwin Data Modeling product.
