Virginia Contracting Activity Kicks Off $6B Defense IT Contract Bids

PentagonThe Virginia Contracting Activity has started to accept bids on a potential five-year, $6 billion information technology services contract covering work for the the Defense Department and intelligence community.

The solicitation issued Tuesday is for the Enhanced Solutions for the Information Technology Enterprise contract, which seeks large and small businesses to help the government develop, deploy and maintain intelligence and command and control assets worldwide.

The government plans to award an indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract to partnerships between large and small companies.

External intelligence community partners are also eligible to place IT services orders under the contract, the VCA said.
