Google Glass to Aid Pondera’s Fraud Detection Service for Gov’t Clients; Jon Coss Comments

Google Glass logoGoogle Glass technology is being considered for possible in-field data access applications by government service providers, such as California-based Pondera Solutions, GCN reported Tuesday.

Patrick Marshall writes Pondera is planning to add Glass to its “fraud detection as a service” offering to government clients, along with other Google tools such as predictive analytics.

“Bad guys find new and creative ways of bilking money out of these systems.  If you build models, they’re going to find the cracks in the system and ways to get around, ” said Jon Coss, Pondera CEO.

He said Glass is expected to enable FDAS auditors and investigators to privately access company data while in the field.

Pondera is currently working to establish a secure data transfer, storage and access with a number of capabilities, the report said.
