Sapient Buys Federal IT Services Provider OnPoint; Allan Herrick Comments

Sapient logoSapient (NASDAQ: SAPE) has acquired OnPoint Consulting for an undisclosed sum as part of Sapient’s efforts to bolster its presence in the public sector technology services market.

Arlington, Va.-based OnPoint has a 150-employee workforce that helps federal agencies develop, protect and run information technology platforms, Sapient said.

Sapient hopes to add cybersecurity, infrastructure, workforce productivity, managed security operations and micro-application development services through the OnPoint purchase.

OnPoint is involved with cyber defense, systems support and financial management services work and its customers include the Departments of Agriculture,  Defense,  Energy and Transportation.
