SAIC Awarded Navy Shore Command Engineering Order; Tom Watson Comments

SAIC logoScience Applications International Corp. (NYSE: SAI) has been awarded a potential three-year, $33 million task order to provide engineering and systems integration work to a shore command of the U.S. Navy.

The Naval Surface Warfare Center’s Crane Division selected SAIC to help with prototyping and technical documentation functions, SAIC said Wednesday.

Tom Watson, SAIC senior vice president and general manager of SAIC’s Navy and Marine Corps customer group, said the company’s engineering and technical support work will support several Navy programs.

NSWC Crane works to integrate technology in areas such as special missions, strategic missions, electronic warfare and information operations.

The company received the order through the SeaPort-e contracting vehicle.
