Pamela Drew Promoted to EVP Ranks at Exelis; David Melcher Comments

Pamela Drew, president of Exelis‘ (NYSE: XLS) information systems business, has been promoted to an executive vice president role the aerospace and defense contractor.

She will continue to lead and direct the company’s strategic growth platform in the area of critical networks, Exelis said Thursday.

“This promotion is well-deserved and I’m looking forward to seeing her contributions to the business in her new role as executive vice president, ” said David Melcher, CEO and president of Exelis.

Drew served as senior VP of strategic capabilities and technology at TASC before joining Exelis in January 2013.

Her career also includes service as sector VP of business development in Northrop Grumman’s (NYSE: NOC) mission systems sector, with responsibility for strategy and business capture in the C4ISR (command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance) systems market.

Drew also worked to lead strategy and business generation in the homeland and security, civil and commercial markets as VP and general manager for Boeing’s (NYSE: BA) defense and security services group.
