Mick Lopez Joins Harris as SVP, CFO

Miguel “Mick” Lopez, a 30-year financial leadership veteran, has joined Harris Corp. (NYSE: HRS) as senior vice president and chief financial officer.

He will report directly to President and CEO William Brown and succeed Gary McArthur, who will step down from both positions to pursue other career opportunities, Harris said Tuesday.

Prior to joining Harris, Lopez served as CFO at global services provider Aricent Group for two years.

Lopez spent a majority of his career at IBM (NYSE: IBM), where he held positions such as CFO for the company’s personal computers business and manager of acquisition initiatives in Latin America.

The certified public accountant has also held financial management positions at Cisco (NASDAQ: CSCO) and Tyco International.

He graduated from Georgetown University with a bachelor’s degree in finance and accounting and holds an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago.
