General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems (NYSE: GD) will work with the Transportation Security Administration to integrate security equipment with enterprise services under an $8.2 million task order.
TSA awarded the work to support its Security Technology Integration Program as the agency seeks to grow STIP to airports round the country and integrate new security equipment with STIP services, General Dynamics said Wednesday.
General Dynamics’ team will work with BAS Strategic Solutions, Bluewater Federal Solutions, IBM (NYSE: IBM), Opticon and Palladian Systems to carry out the task order.
“We continue to leverage our open business model and open architecture approach to connect critical Transportation Security Administration screening technologies on a single network, ” said Carlo Zaffanella, vice president and general manager for integrated platform solutions at General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems.
The company will provide software development to TSA and work to build up the agency’s remote maintenance monitoring of equipment across the security enterprise, General Dynamics said.
General Dynamics will also provide program management support to TSA under the order, which was awarded under a five-year blanket purchase agreement.
