Boeing Unveils Mobile Device with Automated Wipeout Feature

Alwyn Scott writes the Boeing Black Smartphone is built for government customers and private companies to secure communications and data.

Boeing developed the 5.2-by-2.7-inch smartphone to run the Android operating system and support dual SIM cards for multiple network access, according to the report.

The phone, which has been under development for 36 months, also works to connect with biometric sensors and satellites, as well as to use solar energy.

Scott writes the Boeing Black Smartphone features WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity and functions on WCDMA, GSM and LTE bands.
