Unisys Extends Australian Defense IT Services Contract; Scott Whyman Comments

Unisys logoUnisys (NYSE: UIS) will continue to provide information technology support processes to the Australian defense department under a two-year, $52 million contract extension, ARN reported Thursday.

Brian Karlovsky writes the contract covers network security, infrastructure, server and desktop support services to more than 400 locations throughout the country.

Scott Whyman, vice president and general manager for global managed services Asia Pacific at Unisys, said the company’s field service workers aim to help the military in metropolitan, regional and remote locations.

Contract work will support up to 100, 000 end users for the Australian navy, army, air force and other sections of the military.
