David Goulden Named EMC Data Infrastructure Business CEO; Joe Tucci Comments

David GouldenDavid Goulden, formerly president and chief operating officer at EMC Corp. (NYSE: EMC), has been promoted to CEO of the company’s information infrastructure business unit, effective immediately.

He has been running infrastructure, sales, customer service, marketing and administrative operations for the company since July 2012, EMC said Wednesday.

“David is both knowledgeable and widely respected across EMC and fully deserves this promotion, ” said Joe Tucci, EMC chairman and CEO.

Goulden led the company through its more than 70 merger and acquisition undertakings during the past decade.

The 11-year EMC veteran previously served in the CFO role for seven years.
