Agilent Electronic Measurement Spinoff To Be Named Keysight Technologies; Ron Nersesian Comments

acquisitionAgilent Technologies expects to complete the spinoff of its electronic measurement operation into a new entity called Keysight Technologies in early November.

The business will use the tagline “unlocking measurement insights for 75 years” to honor the original Hewlett-Packard (NYSE: HPQ), from which Agilent was spun off, Agilent said.

“Keysight reflects our rich heritage—a direct line from both Hewlett-Packard’s standards of integrity and innovation and Agilent’s premier measurement business, ” Nersesian said.

“This name captures the spirit of our organization—innovative, insightful and forward-looking, ” Nersesian added.

Keysight will have a global workforce of 9, 500 people and deliver a range of testing and measuring tools to the aerospace, defense, semiconductor, computer and wireless industries.
