Lockheed Awarded $169M for C-130 Long Lead Work

lockheed martinLockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) has been awarded a $169, 726, 427 contract by the U.S. Air Force ahead of planned long-lead work for the branch’s fleet of C-130J aircraft.

This not-to-exceed firm-fixed-price contract covers advance procurement funding for the 18 planes and a performance period through October 2016, the Defense Department said Friday.

The Air Force will obligate the full amount at the time of award from its fiscal year 2013 advance procurement funds.
