Claire Divver, formerly a general manager of group corporate affairs at Xstrata, will join BAE Systems in January to lead the company’s communications efforts, PR Week reported Thursday.
Mark Banham writes Divver will be part of BAE’s executive committee and serve as group communications director, where she will report directly to CEO Ian King.
King said in the article that Divver’s international experience will help her contribute to the company’s business.
Divver said in the report that she looks forward to being part of BAE Systems team to help the company work with technology and engineering innovations for the aerospace, industry, security and defense industries.
Divver will succeed Charlotte Lambkin, who took up the corporate relations director position at Diageo in July, the report said.
Banham writes Divver started work for Xstrata in 2004 and served on the board of Xstrata’s Nickel business unit.
