Northrop Wins $178M to Help Air Force Maintain Surveillance Aircraft; Bryan Lima Comments

northrop Grumman_BLUENorthrop Grumman Corp. (NYSE: NOC) has been awarded $178 million contract to continue performing maintenance services on a U.S. Air Force surveillance aircraft fleet.

The company runs logistics, engineering, training, mission support, supply chain and depot maintenance work for the E-8C Joint Surveillance Target Attack Radar System, Northrop said Thursday.

This contract extends that company’s Total System Support Reliability contract, awarded in 2000.

Bryan Lima, Joint STARS program director at Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems, said Northrop aims for the sustainment services to help troops build up capabilities through the platforms.

Northrop will perform the work at various facilities including the Robins Air Force Base, Ga., Melbourne, Fla. and the Lake Charles Maintenance and Modification Center, La.
