CloudHewlett-Packard (NYSE: HPQ) and Saleforce.com (NYSE: CRM) are partnering to develop a dedicated instance in the Salesforce multi-tenant cloud that is built to run on HP’s converged infrastructure.

The service will be available for an undisclosed fee to Salesforce.com customers, HP said Monday.

Marc Benioff, Salesforce chairman and CEO, said the service will be managed within his company’s data centers.

“Trends like cloud, mobility and big data are creating a ‘New Style of IT’ and transforming what enterprise customers expect and need from technology, ” said Meg Whitman, HP president and CEO.

“I’m excited to have HP and salesforce.com work together to help customers tackle these exciting challenges.”

Benioff and Whitman are scheduled to discuss the partnership at 12 p.m. Eastern Time in San Francisco at the Dreamforce forum.
