GSA Issues RFQ for $5B Microsoft Software BPA; Tom Sharpe Comments

GSAThe General Services Administration has started accepting bids for a $5.3 billion blanket purchase agreement covering Microsoft software products and related services, Federal News Radio reported Tuesday.

Jason Miller writes vendors looking to bid for the five-year multi-contract BPA under GSA’s Information Technology Schedule 70 vehicle have until Dec. 18 to respond to the request for quotations.

“GSA is committed to working collaboratively with our partners at Microsoft to reduce multiple contracts into a single set of agreements to save money and streamline the purchasing process for government agencies, ” Federal Acquisition Service Commissioner Tom Sharpe said, according to the report.

The RFQ includes Microsoft systems, applications, servers, enterprise software, support services, licenses, software-as-a-service maintenance and training work.
