Engility to Help Marines Run Air, Ground Comm System; Tony Smeraglinolo Comments

Engility Holdings (NYSE: EGL) has won $20.7 million fixed-price contract to help the U.S. Marine Corps mange a communications system used for air and ground missions.

The five-year, fixed-price contract covers software management and mission support services for the service branch’s Beyond Line of Sight systems, Engility said Tuesday.

Marines use Beyond Line of Sight technology to communicate and coordinate during missions.

“We are proud to support the United States Marines and are honored by the opportunity to continue to support USMC operations, ” said Tony Smeraglinolo, president and CEO at Engility.

Quantico, Va.-based USMC Systems Command awarded the contract to Engility.
