Chris Goodrich, who joined ManTech International (NASDAQ: MANT) in 2009 and a former senior vice president, has been promoted to EVP and chief operating officer of the Fairfax, Va.-based contractor’s mission, cyber and intelligence solutions group.

The 26-year GovCon veteran will oversee the group’s operations as it works to grow its security offerings and cyber services portfolio, the company said Tuesday.

Bill Varner, the group’s president, said Goodrich worked over the last three years to expand the company’s presence in Maryland, home to ManTech’s Hanover-based cyber integration center.

He joined ManTech after spending eight years at TASC, a business unit of Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC) at the time.

At TASC, he worked with intelligence customers in areas such as information technology engineering, development, integration, and deployment.

Before joining the private sector, he worked at NSA for 18 years in technical support, program management, and organizational leadership roles.
