The U.S. Postal Service has awarded positions on a potential six-year, $252 million contract to three companies for program management services.
AMEC, Parsons Corp. and URS Corp. (NYSE: URS) will be responsible for helping the agency run programs and projects to maintain postal facilities, according to a June 12 FedBizOpps notice.
The agency is requiring 42.2 percent of subcontracts for the program to go to small businesses, 6.9 percent to women-owned businesses and 4.8 percent to minority-owned businesses.
Areas of work will include accessibility compliance, security upgrades and retail program support.
