SRA International has won a potential three-year, $56 million contract extension to continue providing information technology services to a U.S. Navy command for communications infrastructure.

The company will be responsible for logistics and warehouse services and helping to train C4 personnel (command, control, communications and computer systems), SRA said Thursday.

George Batsakis, senior vice president of SRA’s defense group, said the company will continue working with the Military Sealift Command to facilitate operational communications.

The MSC is responsible for the Defense Department’s strategic sealift functions, deploying services for the Navy’s combatant fleet and managing ship operations for DoD components.

SRA will also help the command run its afloat network operations center and a backup center.
