Pamela Craig Joins VMware Board of Directors

VMwareLogoPamela Craig, formerly chief financial officer at Accenture (NYSE: ACN) for five years, has joined VMware‘s board of directors and will also serve as a member of the mergers and acquisitions committee.

Her appointment takes effect immediately and she succeeds Renee James, who has stepped down to her focus on her role as president at Intel (NASDAQ: INTC),  VMware said Tuesday.

Craig retired from Accenture in July after a 34-year career there.

“I look forward to working with the VMware board and executive leadership team to help the company navigate the evolving industry landscape and continue its strong leadership in virtualization, and helping companies advance their software-defined data center architecture, ” Craig said.

James joined VMware’s board in September 2007.
