Raytheon Wins $200M Missile Order, Includes Sales to 6 Countries

Raytheon logoRaytheon (NYSE: RTN) has won a $200, 504, 841 contract modification to produce 541 missiles and related components for the U.S. Navy and Air Force and six other countries under the foreign military sales program.

Sales to Malaysia, Morocco, Oman, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and Switzerland comprise nearly 46.6 percent of total purchases under this modification, the Defense Department said Monday.

Purchases from the U.S. Navy and Air Force represent the remaining 53.4 percent of the total modification.

Raytheon will make 354 AIM-9X Sidewinder missiles and 187 air training missiles through August 2015.

The order also covers:

  • 147 all up round containers
  • 26 air training missile guidance units
  • 20 spare tactical guidance units
  • 19 guidance unit containers
  • three spare optical target detectors
  • three spare propulsion steering sections
  • one spare inertial measuring unit
  • one spare missile tube assembly
