Larry Mechner Joins Akima as CFO; Bill Monet Comments

akimaLarry Mechner, a 25-year veteran of Computer Sciences Corp. (NYSE: CSC), has joined professional services contractor Akima LLC as the company’s chief financial officer.

Mechner will lead the Herndon, Va.-based company’s financial and accounting operations, Akima said June 27.

He managed CSC’s contracts with federal agencies and departments in his most recent role at that company.

Bill Monet, CEO and president of Akima, said Mechner will aim to help the company grow through his background in financial management and strategic planning.

Mechner also held a position at CSC with responsibility for payroll, accounts payable, procurement, travel reimbursement and human resource services to vendors and employees in the U.S.
