SAIC Wins Potential $202M NASA Safety Support IDIQ

SAIC-LogoScience Applications International Corp. (NYSE: SAI) has won a potential $202.5 million contract for safety, mission assurance and engineering services supporting NASA’s Johnson Space Center in Houston.

The indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract contains cost-plus-award fee and firm-fixed-price task orders over three base years and two option years, NASA said Monday.

Contract work will begin Oct. 1 and could extend through September 2018 the agency exercises all options.

SAIC will work with the center’s safety and mission assurance directorate on the International Space Station, the Orion Multi-Purpose Crew Vehicle, Extravehicular Activity Office and Advanced Exploration Systems Office.

Work will occur at Johnson and the White Sands Test Facility in New Mexico.

The company will also perform work at manufacturing and engineering facilities of vendors ARES Corp., GHG Corp.,  Integration Co., JES Tech and Millenium Engineering.
