Deborah “Deb” Alderson, formerly executive vice president and chief operating officer of SRA International, has been appointed president and CEO of Sotera Defense Solutions.
Alderson will officially join Sotera July 8, the company said Monday.
The 25-year GovCon industry veteran most recently led four operating groups with more than 6, 000 employees at SRA, which she first joined in November 2011 as EVP of strategic development.
She elevated to EVP and COO one year later at the Fairfax, Va.-based technology services contractor.
Before joining SRA, she served as president of defense solutions at Science Applications International Corp. (NYSE: SAI) and led a team of 14, 000 employees that provided command, control, computing and communications offerings to federal agencies.
The team also provided systems engineering and integration services for customers.
Prior to SAIC, she served as president of Anteon’s systems engineering group and led programs for the U.S. Navy, Army, Air Force, Marine Corps, Department of Homeland Security and Missile Defense Agency.
