COO Michael Santelli Adds President Role at OMNIPLEX; Philip Sweeney Named Exec Chairman

Michael-Santelli_GovConWire-12Michael S. Santelli has added the role of president at OMNIPLEX World Services Corp. and will continue to serve in his current capacity as chief operating officer at the Chantilly, Va.-based intelligence, investigative and security services contractor.

The company also named Philip T. Sweeney as its executive chairman and chairman of OMNIPLEX Holdings Corp.‘s board of directors.

Santelli and Sweeney succeed Terri Wesselman, president and CEO, and Julien Patterson, founder and chairman, respectively.

“Phil and Mike have integrated well into this important team and have the focus, experience and understanding of the OMNIPLEX business that make them the right leadership going forward, ” said Randall Eason, managing director of Altamont Capital Partners and Omniplex’s majority investor.

“They have big shoes to fill and we believe they are the right people to get the job done.”

Both moves are effective June 1 and Wesselman and Patterson will remain on the board of directors.

Santelli will oversee Omniplex’s daily operations, business development and functional areas such as contracts, information technology, legal, finance and human resources.

Before joining Omniplex, he spent 12 years with US Investigations Services and most recently served as president of the information management division.

He was also involved in sales to three equity firms during his tenure at USIS.

The more than 15-year government contracting veteran also served in the executive ranks of Pricewaterhouse Coopers‘ business assurance and advisory practice.

As executive chairman, Sweeney will provide strategic guidance and counsel to the Omniplex board and leadership team.

Prior to his appointment, the government and information services veteran served on various boards as member and adviser for organizations in alternative energy, education, healthcare and other industries.

He co-founded USIS in 1996, where he later served as senior vice president and chief financial officer, and senior vice president of corporate development.OMNIPLEX - ExecutiveMosaic
