Sara Mathew to Retire as D&B Chairman, CEO; Chris Coughlin Comments

Sara Mathew, chairman and CEO at D&B Inc. since 2010, will retire from the commercial data and solutions provider by May 2014.

The company has hired executive recruiting firm Spencer Stuart to help the company appoint Mathew’s successor and will consider both internal and external candidates, D&B said Friday.

Mathew joined D&B as chief financial officer in August 2001 after 18 years in executive positions at Procter & Gamble.D&BLogo

“I have had the privilege of working with a very talented team over the past 12 years to lead the transformation of D&B from a data provider to a big data, insights and analytics company, ” said Mathew.

D&B promoted her to president and chief operating officer in January 2007 and she joined the board of directors one year later.

She was then appointed CEO in January 2010 and added the chairman title in July 2010.
