Randy Phillips Named TASC SVP, Chief Strategy Officer; David Langstaff Comments

Randy Phillips, a former Computer Sciences Corp. (NYSE: CSC) vice president, has joined TASC as senior VP of corporate development and chief strategy officer.

He will be responsible for helping form the company’s growth strategy and identify acquisitions intended to expand TASC’s portfolio, the company said Monday.

David Langstaff, TASC president and CEO, said Phillips will aim to help complement the company’s core offerings for current and emerging national security and public safety challenges.

At CSC, Phillips served as VP of corporate development and strategy and led 25 transactions with more than $3 billion in revenue.

He led acquisitions in areas such as cybersecurity, applications development, healthcare information technology and intelligence.

Prior to CSC, Phillips led Alcoa’s international growth initiatives in the U.S., Asia, Europe and Africa.

He also held management, engineering and corporate development roles at TRW, where he helped lead the company through its 2002 sale to Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC).
