Interior Dept Picks 10 for $10B Cloud IDIQ

CloudTen companies have won positions on a potential 10-year $10 billion cloud computing services contract with the Interior Department, Federal Times reported Thursday.

Nicole Johnson writes the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity includes three base years and seven option years through 2023.

Contractors will compete to provide cloud storage, file transfer, database and Web hosting, development and testing and virtual machine services that intend to help employees access files and applications from multiple devices, Johnson writes.

  • CGI (NYSE: GIB)
  • Global Technology Resources
  • IBM (NYSE: IBM)
  • Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT)
  • Smartronix

  • Verizon (NYSE: VZ)
