Revenue for the quarter $3.1 billion and operating income increased 71 percent from the previous year’s quarter to $136 million.
Services revenue grew 2 percent to $2.1 billion, helped driven by an 11 percent increase in revenue for the company’s infrastructure, cloud and security services business.
The company also reported a 2 percent increase in revenue for the support and deployment business and 10 percent higher operating income to $370 million.
Global technology investment firm Silver Lake and founder Michael Dell are buying out the company for $24.4 billion and taking the company private.
