TASC to Analyze SPAWAR Costs; Scott Heefner Comments

TASCTASC has won a potential $40.5 million contract from the U.S. Navy to analyze and estimate costs for the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command.

The contract contains one base year, two option years and two award term years, TASC said Wednesday.

Scott Heefner, vice president of TASC’s financial and business analytics center of excellence, said the company will aim to help SPAWAR’s senior leaders information they need to make financial decisions on systems investments.

Project Time & Cost, Level 4 Ventures, Telecote Research, Project Time & Cost, Kalman and Co., Cask Technology and Programmatics Engineering Group will work with TASC on the contract.

Tom Kilcline, vice president of TASC’s defense business unit, said the company is aiming to grow its presence within SPAWAR and the Navy’s other business centers.
