SAIC Wins Spot on $228M Natl Lab IT Services IDIQ; Dan Harris Comments

SAIC-LogoScience Applications International Corp. (NYSE: SAI) has won a position on a $228 million prime contract to provide mission computing and information technology support for two national laboratories.

The single-award, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract contains five years and an option to extend work for two more years, SAIC said Monday.

Through a subsidiary, Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) manages and operates the Sandia National Laboratories for the Energy Department.

The laboratories are based in Albuquerque, N.M. and Livermore, Calif.

Dan Harris, a senior vice president and business unit general manager, said SAIC will aim to help Sandia streamline and integrate its IT services.

“We have been providing services to Sandia for more than 30 years and we look forward to continuing our support of their mission, ” he added.

The company will develop new and integrate new offerings, host Sandia’s central computing and provide cybersecurity and desktop services to the labs.
