Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) has won a a $29, 478, 449 to design, engineer and build commercial-equipment for Aegis computer programs and equipment.
The company’s mission systems and training business will also help develop and test the equipment for an Aegis modernization program under a foreign military sales agreement, the Defense Department said Thursday.
Equipment covered under the contract includes cabinets, consoles, cables and switches.
Work will occur in Moorestown, N.J.; Clearwater, Fla.; Akron, Ohio through June 2014 and the company will receive $26, 089, 734 at the time of award.
No funds will expire at the end of the current fiscal year, the Pentagon said.
