James Moos Promoted to SAIC Engineering Group GM; Joe Craver Comments

SAIC-LogoJames Moos, a senior vice president at Science Applications International Corp. (NYSE: SAI), has been promoted to group general manager of the company’s engineering solutions group.

The 14-year company veteran, formerly a group deputy GM, will lead a team of more than 4, 900 employees that work on projects in the energy, environment and infrastructure markets, SAIC said Thursday.

Joe Craver, president of SAIC’s health and engineering sector, said Moos will aim to drive the company’s strategy to build and diversify its engineering business.

Moos, a 24-year industry veteran, also holds knowledge of the commercial and federal engineering markets and a technical background, Craver added.

Since joining SAIC, Moos has led the company’s environment and civil infrastructure operation.

He has also managed programs with budgets greater than $500 million in areas such as program management, risk evaluation and assessment, environmental engineering and construction, facility engineering and management services and emergency system design and construction.

Before joining the company, Moos served in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the U.S. Navy‘s nuclear power program and worked at MK Ferguson Co.
