SAIC Helping Navy Run Anti-Terrorism Program Software

SAIC_logoScience Applications International Corp. (NYSE: SAI) has won a potential $74, 398, 851 contract to help the U.S. Navy maintain software and equipment for anti-terrorism program systems.

The company will receive an initial $3, 655, 433 increment at the time of award and a second $17, 551, 889. increment in April, the Defense Department said Tuesday.

SAIC will receive the full contract value if the Navy exercises five options.

The Navy received five proposals for the firm-fixed-price contract through a competitive procurement via the Navy Electronic Commerce Online website.

Contract work will cover 66 military installations worldwide that use Anti-Terrorism Force Protection Ashore Program Systems and the company will provide hardware, software, firmware, cabling  and transmission subsystems for the systems.
