Kay Kapoor Joins AT&T As Govt Services President

Kay Kapoor, former CEO of Accenture Federal Services (NYSE: ACN), has joined AT&T (NYSE: T) as president of the government solutions unit.

The 25-year government contracting and technology veteran will lead a team of nearly 4, 000 employees that provide information technology and professional services to federal agencies, AT&T said Thursday.

Kapoor will be based in AT&T’s Oakton, Va. office and report to Frank Jules, president of the global business solutions segment.

“I’m proud to join and lead AT&T’s federal business at this critical time, ” Kapoor said.

“The federal government is going through a technological transformation, embracing mobile and cloud solutions while combating new cyber security threats to our nation’s infrastructure, ” she added.

Before joining Accenture, she served in executive positions at ITT Corp. (NYSE: ITT) and Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT).
