Dave Schmitz Promoted to Cubic Defense Lead; Brad Feldmann Comments

Dave Schmitz, a former chief operating officer for Cubic Corp.’s defense applications business segment, has been promoted to president of the segment nine months after first joining the company.

Schmitz succeeds Brad Feldmann, who in February was promoted to president and chief operating officer of Cubic, the company said Tuesday.

Prior to joining Cubic, Schmitz served as vice president and general manager for Cobham‘s sensor systems business, where he helped lead technology programs supporting military platforms and systems.

According to Cubic, Schmitz holds more than 20 years of experience in the defense electronics industry, including missile programs and aircraft programs such as the F-35, F-16, B-2 and F/A-18 aircraft.

Feldmann said Schmitz brings strategic planning and business management experience into his new position as the business is aiming to grow in international markets.
