Jerry DeMuro Retiring As General Dynamics Info Systems-Tech Group EVP; Phebe Novakovic Comments

Gerard “Jerry” DeMuro, executive vice president of General Dynamics‘ (NYSE: GD) information systems and technology group, will retire from the company Feb. 28 to pursue new professional opportunities.

Business units within the group will report directly to Phebe Novakovic, chairman and CEO, until the company appoints DeMuro’s successor, General Dynamics said Tuesday.

DeMuro, a 14-year company veteran, has led the group since 2003 and previously led the C4 systems business unit upon its formation in January 2002.GDlogo

“Jerry DeMuro has made significant contributions to General Dynamics over the past 14 years, ” Novakovic said.

“We wish him continued success in his future pursuits, ” she added.

He joined the company upon its acquisition of GTE Government Systems in 1999 and was named president of the communications systems unit at that time.

General Dynamics’ information systems and technology group comprises of the advanced information systems, C4 systems, information technology and U.K. limited business units.
