CRGT Names ICF, Northrop Vet Sal Fazzolari Strategic Development SVP; Tom Ferrando Comments

CRGT has appointed 30-year information technology industry veteran Sal Fazzolari senior vice president [no explanation]of[/no explanation] strategic development, the company said Tuesday.

He will report directly to Tom Ferrando, CEO and president, and have responsibility for identifying and developing strategies to grow revenue in the defense, intelligence and civilian government markets.

Fazzolari also will lead business and capture development functions, proposals and marketing functions.

“Sal’s far-reaching experience in the federal IT market makes him an ideal fit to steer our development strategy moving forward, ” Ferrando said. “As we consolidate operations and drive efficiencies from our recent acquisitions, we remain mindful of the critical need to drive growth and fuel innovation to sustain the momentum we have gained.”

The company recently bought data analytics firm Guident Technologies as part of its growth strategy (click here for our coverage of the deal).

Before joining CRGT, he held business development and IT positions at ICF International (NASDAQ: ICFI) and Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC) and led teams that won $2 billion in federal contracts, CRGT said.

At ICF, he led the corporate business development function to include business development, capture, proposal management and marketing.

At Northrop, Grumman he led IT projects and directed business development for the IT sector’s business units.
