Booz Allen Hamilton (NYSE: BAH) has been awarded three contracts with a total value of over $95 million by the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command, according to a company statement.
“In today’s budget environment, our clients, including the Navy, are looking at the cost of doing business, ” said David Karp, Booz Allen senior vice president.
“We’re helping the Navy be a smarter buyer, and delivering tailored systems engineering and integration solutions to reduce cost and at the same time, increase capabilities.”
The first contract is a two-year, $22 million multiple award contract supporting SPAWAR SSC Pacific.
The contract includes the following work:
- program and configuration management
- systems engineering
- technical services
- hardware and software development
- algorithm development and data processing
- material analysis and repair
- testing and deployment
- installation
- analysis and recovery to support the maritime intelligence
- surveillance
- reconnaissance and information operations
This award follows an April 2011 contract Booz Allen was awarded to support SSC Pacific with cyberspace science, research, engineering and technology integration.
The second SPAWAR contract is for $72 million and covers services including cost modeling, program management, contract and acquisition support, cost estimating, information assurance and analysis capabilities.
The third award also supports the SSC Pacific with security engineering, technical services, system operational and information analysis support worth $1.2 million
Booz Allen recently acquired the defense systems engineering and support division of ARINC Inc. which, according to Booz Allen, has advanced the strategy to bring clients broader and deeper technical expertise.
